CIRC Action Fund (CIRCAF) is a 501(c)(4). CIRCAF believes in the inherent dignity and human rights of every person, regardless of immigration status. CIRCAF works to build a strong and thriving Colorado where all residents are treated with dignity and respect and have equal access to a fair and just quality of life and the opportunity to live united with family members. We achieve mission through advocating for fair, humane and workable public policies at the state and local level and by increasing the civic participation of new Americans.
The Colorado Immigrant Rights Coalition (CIRC) is a statewide membership-based coalition of immigrant, labor, interfaith, youth and ally organizations founded in 2002 to build a unified statewide voice to improve the lives of immigrants and refugees in Colorado and the United States. CIRC is a 501(c)(3) organization under the Internal Revenue Code and achieves its mission through non-partisan civic engagement, public education and advocacy to win fair, humane and workable public policies.
The Development Coordinator will support CIRC Action’s growth and sustainability by meeting our annual goal of raising 20% of our annual budget through sponsorships and individual giving. The Development Coordinator will work closely with the Field Director to conceptualize and coordinate fundraising efforts with electoral field activities and policy developments.
- SPECIFIC ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Development Planning and Fundraising Implementation
- Develop and execute fundraising campaigns, events and activities to support donor cultivation for CIRC Action members and stakeholders.Plan and execute event logistics for donor receptions and stakeholder events
- Coordinate membership drives and member renewals
- Build relationships with major donors, organizational sponsors, and philanthropic institutions. Work closely with ED and Development Director to identify, cultivate, and solicit individual giving.
- Manage donor/member database and ensure timely and accurate donor acknowledgement processes and communications.
- Develop fundraising appeals, on-line giving strategies, oversee the creation of fundraising materials for outreach and solicitations.
- Coordinate all fundraising efforts with the support of C4 team members. Development Coordinator will work closely with the Communications Director and Digital Organizer to ensure website, email and social media communications support fundraising and field efforts.
- Support setting annual goals, tracking, reporting and preparation of collateral.
- Support site visits, grant development, and progress reports for funders, administration and the board as requested.
- Serve as a liaison for presentations, field events, and stakeholder meetings as needed.
- Support C3 team events as needed. All C3/C4 staff support fundraising efforts.
- Demonstrated success achieving ambitious goals in a fast paced environment.
- Ability to set goals and objectives and evaluate progress on those goals
- Strong writing, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Experience with donor cultivation and the philanthropic setting
- Experience developing materials and social media campaigns
- Working knowledge of fundraising software, i.e. Every Action, Salesforce
- Experience with graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Cloud

All staff are expected to be active participants in CIRC’s equity and inclusivity efforts to make progress toward a vision of an organizational culture that reflects the values and principles that we are fighting for.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience working in advocacy, community organizing, or a non-profit environment
- Knowledge of, and relationships within, local and state immigrant rights movement
- A passion for building a reflective democracy and power building in communities of color
- Excellent communication skills, writing, budgeting, and time management skills
- Experience managing a donor databases and familiarity with reporting and metrics, voter file interface systems (VAN)
- Self‐motivated, independent, and ability to problem solve
- Strong team player, familiar with team dynamics, willing to work in a team environment
- Up to 15% travel within state and occasional out of state travel for trainings and conferences
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as program requires
- Written and spoken proficiency in Spanish and/or other languages of Colorado’s diverse immigrant and refugee communities preferred
- Must have reliable transportation to attend events and meetings locally.
Salary & Benefits: Full time position, competitive salary starting at $41,500 plus full medical benefits. This is a one year grant-funded position.
